I think that a lot of the misconceptions and confusion about Spirit Guides, Totem Animals, Spirit Animals, Familiars and Animal Messengers comes from the obvious fact that there are so many and they are very easily mixed up! I've had many people ask me about Spirit Guides and Spirit Animals thinking they are the same thing but in reality there are differences.
