I love crafts. I can’t say that I excel in any particular area, rather I have exactly enough creativity to have great ideas, and exactly enough natural talent to make up from my lack of patience. Basically I will likely never master any particular talent, but our home will always have lots of cool stuff. My favorite genres include scrapbooking, sculpey miscellanea, trying to quilt, jewelery making, painting and rehabbing thrift store furniture in a revisionist fashion (this generally involves creative paint application), making knickknacks (because the world really need more dust collectors) that creatively and artistically reuse/recycle stuff.

Hawaiian quilts and Crazy quilts have to be two of my favorite quilting styles. I’d consider them both fairly indicative of my eclectic personality too–I love the clean lines, simplicity and quiet drama of the Hawaiian but I love the complexity and almost exuberent fussiness of the crazy quilt…

I was shocked to see my blog referred to as “awesome.” I enjoy making the twined rugs, and I hope others will try it. The rugs wear like iron if they are twined tightly.
Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it.

I love crafting too, I can sometimes get distracted though, so I have many projects that are waiting to be finished. Crocheting is one of my favorites too ^_^
