Thank you! This is just what I was looking for. My family is Unitarian Universalist, but I am leading a camping trip with 15 families of various religions and was looking for a mealtime blessing.

I just figured out where the particular blessing I used in my novel had come from! I had found and printed this page over a year ago, as I didn’t have a trustworthy comp at that point! I use the same one myself when eating anyway, though 🙂 I love this whole list though, lovely ❤ If you don't mind my asking, where did this one come from?

Honestly…at this point, I have no idea! My kids are 6 1/2 and “almost 8” (I get in trouble from Chickadee if I say she’s 7, as her birthday is next month) and I’ve been collecting this stuff since before she was born. We like this one too, though now that they are older, we’ve taken to having them take turns creating their own blessings at mealtimes. Sometimes it works, and sometimes–well, Sharkbait led last night’s mealtime prayer and it went something like this (paraphrased): Thank you for the sun and the rain and the many hand that bring this food even though its green and smelly and I’m not going to eat it anyways! (He was *not* a fan of the zucchini soup!)

I’ve just moved my daughter and I into my grandmother’s house and they are very Christian, attempting to push their belief on my impressionable autistic daughter and these are perfect for her. I’ve tried to keep religious views neutral for her but the time has come. Thank you so much!
